Author Lori R. Lopez is one talented lady!

I am a huge fan of Lori R. Lopez. Her writing is imaginative, clever and horrifying to say the least. Don’t hesitate! Check out her work, you will not be disappointed.

A group of young zombie sympathizers are the only thing standing between the diseased and their hunters, who collect a fee for each undead bagged. It's a new world where humans have learned to lead semi-normal lives despite the zombie plague. But when a zombie protector's mother is endangered by a bitten hunter, a boy must question his beliefs and make a choice: protect the zombies or his mom. This is a different zombie tale, one told with humor as well as horror, from the perspective of a young man wrestling to do the right thing in a world gone wrong.

My review of Heartbeat :
Not having read anything written by Lori R. Lopez before, I started reading Heartbeat with the notion I would get through a little bit of her story tonight and get back to it another time but found that I was unable to stop until I reached the end. Lori's story is exceptional! Her writing is superior, better than most of today's well known author's and of equal caliber as writer's like Stephen King and John Grisham. With a writing style that is unique and masterful, her descriptive writing is flawless. Lori captivated me with her opening paragraph. No, her first sentence actually hooked me. I had to read on to find out what was going to happen to Jessie, the other members of the Corps Of Mutant's and Jessie's mother, Lynette. Take a bow Lori R. Lopez, you are an incredible author!
Sincerely, Quinn Cullen

The witty horror-fantasy novel AN ILL WIND BLOWS will take you on a rollicking adventure inside the belly of a storm who would be king. There you and an oddball bunch of nutty characters will encounter some of the wildest imaginings of author Lori R. Lopez (DANCE OF THE CHUPACABRAS, CHOCOLATE-COVERED EYES, OUT-OF-MIND EXPERIENCES). Step through the cuckoo clock for a nonstop marathon of the bizarre where anything goes including zombie piranhas, ghosts, an alien, a witch, an axe-wielding elf, mad stalkers, a root monster, and a magic stone.

The unique adventure AN ILL WIND BLOWS depicts one night when an ordinary person lacking confidence must battle a wicked wind. The stakes are high as she, along with friends and foes, travels through a magical storm world that culminates in a ghost town populated by more than just spirits. This is a story that keeps delivering action and fun throughout. It is more than a single tale in a single genre. The book blends Humor, Horror, and Fantasy.

From the time the characters are sucked into the storm, the reader is transported with them on a strange chaotic trek. Meezly finds herself tangled in a web of chills and intrigue as she attempts to search for a mysterious gem called The Cursed Eye, which her missing father entrusted her to safeguard. The stone was used by a Sumerian king to transform an evil jinn from a wind spirit to a vainglorious force.

This fable is as imaginative and unconventional in style as it is in plot. A vulnerable individual struggling to overcome debilitating losses, Meezly stumbles through a gauntlet of thirteen macabre tribulations down a forest highway. Twists and madness abound during her eclectic hectic journey of the soul. It is a lighthearted yet touching trek that readers will want to take again.

Facing fears and the power of friendship are important themes. Chapters alternate from First Person to multiple Third Person perspectives. The supporting characters, a mixed and quirky bunch of allies or villains, each have their own insightful stories.

It is a modern legend, a rumpus of revelrous rompery about being lost and choosing the road least traveled . . . the path unknown. In Tome One of the whimsical epic adventure, a Mexican-American brother duo of folklore dancers and a desert farmer -- along with a diverse band of mortals, angels, and ghosts -- battle supernatural forces to protect an oracle-princess as well as past, present, and future times from an Aztec serpent god's wrath. It is an original concept devised by Lori R. Lopez: The author's true voice; the author's pure and untampered vision, preserving her idiosyncracies and eccentric stylings!

Dina Rae's Halo of the Damned is phenomenal!

Halo of the Damned by Dina Rae is exemplary writing. With well-defined characters, a plot that is gripping, fast paced and infectious it leaves the reader with no option other than to forge ahead within this tale of a world infiltrated by God's banished; the fallen angels and the demonic minions they've created, human worshipers and Satan. At the center of it all, are three courageous women: Joanna, Kim and Kim's daughter Maria. After the death of their mother Lydia Easterhouse, Joanna and Kim discover that their mother led a secret life. The Easterhouse offspring are strong, brave, able and willing to do whatever it takes when faced with having to deal with the cunning and evil Andel Talistokov, also known as Armaros. Andel's assistant Marcus is to Andel what Renfield was to Dracula, only a bit more humorous and pathetic. It's hard not to pity him. The pint-sized spitfire Maria will steal your heart. I must mention the handsome charismatic Tony and but i
