Devastates Me
I awake and sense his nearness, my lover's body covering mine as a
tight fitting glove. The warmth his body radiates seeping into me like water
into the earth. Like a python strangling its prey, his heavy leg coils around
mine. A secure unbreakable hold sending jolts of electricity to my very core.
His presence devastates me.
My
eye's search for his, but he sleeps soundly, unaware of his hold on me, it's
automatic, whenever by my side. I drink in his beauty, his rigid muscles, the
fine hair on his chest, his taught abdomen, down to the silken hairs above his
magnificence. His presence devastates me.
I twist
within his grasp, not enough to free myself, merely to rest my head on his
steadily rising and falling chest. I lay still, listening, his heart beating like
a drum beneath my ear, his breath of life deep and strong. His presence
devastates me.
My head
lingers upon his chest. Everything about him warms me as I inhale his scent.
Rugged and powerful, and familiar, his aroma seeps into me. Takes me to a place
of serene calm; abundant security, filled with the wealth of his everlasting
love. Inhaling once more, as if imprinting his smell into memory, although I
cannot, for it has never left me. His presence devastates me.
Still he sleeps, but not for much longer for I
must touch him, his lips beckoning for mine. I raise my head, my lips cover his
and as if tasting him for the first time, I explore. He moves ever so slightly
as his mouth welcomes my intrusion. My entire body consumes him, his essence
filling me, becoming my food for life. I savor him as if he were my last wish
upon my deathbed, my last meal. His presence devastates me.
